BEACHCOMBER

The last day of August 2012.

Today was a both awesome and totally bizarre day!  Dad and I got up early-ish so we could go and  take the dingy out on the water. So we made it to the boat at a reasonable hour, had coffee and breakfast sammy's, and then got on the water. Took the dingy to a bar...took the dingy back...I got to drive it! Then we drove around a went shopping for food and stuff. We were gonna cook dinner but before that we had to go to a bar called the beachcomber to celebrate someones Birthday. It was a friend of dad's cousin Sharron. I guess that just makes her my cousin also.

Anyway, we were going to leave, Judy, Shannon and I. I just thought that we should sneek out and Shannon was with me on this, but at the last second, Judy went back in to say bye. So we walked back to dad's house because it was time for dinner. Shannon tripped on the way back but was OK. We were home no more than 15 minutes when Kelly showed up at the door. She had tripped and thought that she broke her finger, but she had also scrapped her knee, her "face" and her elbow. Well, you would of thought that we needed to call 911! 

We were trying to get dinner ready and deal with Kelly, who is about 55. She also has a husband Paul. He was feeling really bad that he was not able to throw himself in front of Kelly to break her fall. Anyway, this story goes on and on. But I am tired. I will finish it later. I only started it because I do not want to forget what happened today.

So I give Roger his deposit tomorrow and take possession of the studio September 10. Cool! 

Got one

So I got a studio today,

Today is August 25, 2012. I guess I got a studio. I am pretty excited about it. I can't move in for a little over another week. But it should happen. Two blocks from the bay and about ten blocks from the beach. Super affordable. 815 utilities included. Small but I am all about minimalist right now. I like to cook and it has all the things you need to cook.  I will keep myself posted.

I am in the running for a sweet studio...don't want to jinx it. I do want to remember the day though! So this is just a little note. I also bought a peppermint plant. I sent Ashley a response...I should know in  2 days max!  NAIL BITING EXCITEMENT!

Even the worst day is now better than my best day.

Today is August 12, 2010

I am having so much fun here in SD. I locked my keys in my car when I went to the gas station. Who does that? Tomorrow I am getting my techno gym key. Ooh la la...I need to find a place to live. I am having fun staying here with pop but will be super excited when I find a place. I have been here 39 days. I can't believe it! It seems like so much more. I had to count it twice on my calendar. 

I just got the use of my computer back in the last week. I had it in the storage unit and when I tried to use it after I got it out it was dead. So I took it to a computer repair place, paid about 130. And now it seems as if I have a brand new computer. 

Sterling came and visited me this past week about three days ago. We had a nice visit. He took a surf board out on to the ocean. Pretty cute. I can't wait to go visit him in LA, I want to see his new house. Senior.

Memorial Day 2012

It is Memorial Day, I have the day off because it conveniently landed on a Monday which is one of my normal days off, otherwise I would of had to work. I wouldn't of cared it I had to work, as I am not doing anything anyway. Watched a movie and am just trying to enjoy the day off but that is almost impossible with my housemates. I will be so HAPPY to move out of here. It will be nerve racking but I know that everything always turns out for the best anyway.


I watched a good movie called "Shooter". Now I had better keep myself entertained because I can hear the WITCH TRUDY cackling like the ugly human being that she is!


Music time! 


Crap!!! as I was sitting here someone went into the bathroom and it sounded as if they ripped the shower curtail down. Kinda scared to even leave my room at this point. Gonna have to go check it out eventually.  What a bunch of FREAKS!

60 Days to vacate tenancy

Well, on May 3rd my housemates and I received notice that we must move. It is a terrible blow to us all!  We are all pretty low income and to speak for myself, do not have enough to pay for everything that is involved in moving. It will work out because everything always does anyway. 


The ironic thing is that we live in a house for previously homeless adults. Will some of us join the ranks again? It is inevitable. It will be a struggle, but as a housemate and I had discussed, "We have been in worse situations". 


They (the landlords, COTS of Petaluma, CA.) have received additional funding if they allow families to move in here. So, now they will have, apparently about 15 people living in a 5 bedroom house. That sounds fun. My room is barely big enough for me, much less share it with 2 more. 


But that is the state of affairs today. I am grateful that I am not in the situation where I have to share my room with maybe, let's say a husband and a child. For this on this day, I am Grateful!

SPACE DAY

So as you can see, I never post anything on my blog. Today I went to the www.chabotspace.org !  It was awesome! I looked all around the center eagerly awaiting the opening of the telescopes. Finally two were opened and I could look at the planets. One was aimed at Mars and one was aimed at Venus. Venus looked like the moon and Mars looked like a red dot. Nothing too cool but a planet none the less. Now I need a telescope so I can play around and look at all kinds a stuff.


I settled for a mouse pad at the gift shop because I really needed one and it was only 5.95, and here is a photo or two. We'll see how hard it is for me to get the photos on here.

How do I get it clear?

This photo (on left) was taken with my phone. Bad idea. Especially   since I had my Canon T3 with me. So the one at the bottom is with the Canon. You can see the Golden Gate bridge in the way back ground, the Bay Bridge and Treasure Island in the center. It was a beautiful day, but doesn't look that great by this picture. I would of made the bottom one bigger, but it screws with the page layout.
